Canton Fair will come to a close today (May 5) with China's biggest foreign trade fair showing strong signs of economic recovery. The volume of transactions has grown compared to the previous session and companies have been promoting innovative products, stepping away from the old business model reliant on cheap labor, Guangzhou Daily reports.
Foreign trade in the first quarter has improved and the Canton Fair received more merchants than previous years. Many exhibitors set-up larger booths and presenter a wider range of products, an obvious sign of confidence. Foreign buyers this year were looking for new and original products with high added value and good quality.
