The 2010 Asia Energy Forum opened Monday in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, to promote regional cooperation in developing green energy.
An annual meeting and several forums will be held during the two-day forum. Attendees will discuss issues such as the development of the Asian oil market and development and cooperation in the photoelectric industry, according to an organizer of the forum.
Co-hosted by the Asia Energy Forum, Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission, Guangzhou Lingnan International Enterprise Group Co., Ltd, the forum is being attended by about 350 government and NGO officials, company managers and energy experts.
The First Asia Energy Forum was successfully held in Guangzhou in August, 2009 and the forum is to be held annually in Guangzhou.
