A nation-wide tea trading centre is planned to be built in Guangzhou, including a modern trading mode "tea auction" and "time bargain", according to the recently held China Tea Trading Forum. When completed, Guangzhou will again become the global tea trading centre as it was hundreds of years ago.
The tea trading centre will be located in Kuipeng, Liwan District, Guangzhou, linking with the present Fangcun Tea Market (the floor area of 60,000 m2).
"Liwan District will build up the tea trading centre into another trading platform after Guangdong Plastic Exchange." said Deputy Director of Liwan District.
The blueprint of the tea market construction, combined with the Fangcun Tea Market, will boast Guangzhou into a most promoting tea market both nationally and internationally.
