More than 10 Russian enterprises took part in the 2008 China Import and Export Fair (103rd Canton Fair) for the FIRST TIME, covering 200 m2 of exhibiting area.
The opening ceremony of “Russian Business Days” was held on the morning of April 15. Vice-Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng visited the Russian booths and wished them success.
According to statistics with the General Administrations of Customs, China-Russia trade volume topped 48 billion US dollars in 2007, up 44.3 percent year on year, the highest annual growth since 1993. The volume of investment of both sides exceeded 2 billion dollars at the end of 2007.
With the first-time show-up of the Russian enterprises in Canton Fair, the co-operation of China and Russia will step on to a new stage, promoting the healthy business exchange of the two countries.
