The visitors and exhibitors of the 103rd session of China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) in Guangzhou will be banned to bring their part-time interpreters whom they hire temporarily into the venues during the fair, according to an urgent notice of the fair organizer announced on Apr 08 2008.

The notice of registration change is said "to provide a safe environment for trade at Canton Fair", associated with relevant requirement in controversy for non-crime record.

Those who are in need for interpretation can go to the organizer's interpreter center for service application.

The interpreters control much disappoints many foreign-language majors in Guangzhou. During previous Canton Fair, University students converged outside fair venues and waited with signs for the part-time jobs of interpretation.

But NO MORE Part-time Interpreters for 103th Canton Fair.

For the urgent notice, the staff of overseas organizations in China, including chief officials, are ALSO required to submit their documents of No-crime record issued by the local public authorities of their residence in their registration application.
