NICE STAY
I love this property , very comfortable rooms ....staff is very polite and the best part of Hotel Guangzhou is the location of this property . This must be my 20 th visit to the property and love to stay here as pearl river is also close by and it's only 5 minutes walk to Beijing Lu shopping area. This Hotel is Highly recommended.

my prefered hotel in GZ
great location next to haizhu guang chang metro station. my prefered hotel in GZ. they have done some renovation of hotel rooms since i stayed in this hotel previously. much brighter room with new fixtures.

good stay for shopping
Located near the Haizu Square, Guangzhou Hotel is a good stay for those who come for shopping or looking for supply of goods. One Link Plaza and Yide street is just a walking distance from the hotel and most probably youll make few shopping trips daily. Halal restaurant located at the back of the hotel. Check-in was smooth. Room was big. But interior looks outdated as this is one of the oldest hotel in Guangzhou.

the hotel is ok, great river view from room
We booked a deluxe river view room, but on arrival were given a room on the 23rd floor. The view was great, but the room was in need of renovations (damp smell, leaky sink and curtains which didn’t close properly. But after some complaining to reception we finally got to the manager who fixed us with a nice room on 14 an was very apologetic (saved a potential bad stay)

Good location near to the markets.
Second time at Guangzhou Hotel, and everything was ok. Clean and big rooms, specialy the rooms from 14 level and up, are new revonated. The only broblem was not hit in the rooms, i think this is a problem for the most hotels in China. I was there 9-16 February, and was a very cold week.

beside the metro, OneLink
Very decent room though the beds are quite hard. The rooms are old so don't expect anything much...the only plus point is the location. Just situated beside the metro so going around is very convenient. Just across the road is OneLink and many other wholesale stores situated around it...you just need to walk around . If you buy in bulk, the shopkeepers are able to send to your hotel at no extra cost cos its nearby.

Great location!
Great location! 5 mins walk to Haizhu Square MRT, good chinese restorant, good massage all in the hotel. Wholesale market nearby.
Room not comfortable but acceptable with the room rate we paid.
To airport by taxi RMB 200 but to avoid heavy traffic, may try MRT, only RMB 7/pax, it's take about 1 hour.

near wholesale market
Right smack at HaiZhu Square and mrt station, very convenient. Walkable (say 15 mins) to must visit places like Beijing Lu, OneLink Shopping Mall--(wholesale shopping), also it is surrounded by a massive shoe shop street, dry goods building, toys building etc. Hotel room (21st level) gave us an outstanding view of the Pearl River! Wouldn't recommend eating at any of the restaurants in this place. Walk down the stalls near 7-11 and find a porridge and dimsum stall to satisfy your Chinese feast cravings. (the stalls are quite busy--hard to miss!) The hotel is quite old, ergo, hard bed, old tv with only Chinese chanels, and a basic old tub for bathrooms. Still recommending it for its location.
