Due to the 115th Canton Fair, which started on April 15 and will end on May 4 this year, Guangzhou is suffering a heavy traffic during the three phases of the fair. Passenger flow at Baiyun International Airport will be the highest on the last day of each phase and the day after, during which checked baggage service’s peak hours will be from 6 to 7 am and 5 to 6 pm. And Fair related traffic within the city is always heaviest during the hours when daily activities come to a close.

In order to provide merchants and guests with a comfortable transit option featuring both ease of use and beautiful scenery, Guangzhou Ferry Company is launching a "Water Bus" service with an extended 12km special route, which starts from Pazhou International Convention Center Ferry Pier and ends at Xidi Ferry Pier.

Each day from April 15 to 18 during Phase 1 of the Fair, two water buses will set off from Pazhou International Convention Center Ferry Pier at 6:15 pm and 6:30 pm respectively, but only one daily service during Phase 2 (April 23-26) and Phase 3 (May 1-4). There are four stops along the route: Haixinsha Ferry Pier, Guangzhou Tower Ferry Pier, Tianzi Ferry Pier and Xidi Ferry Pier.
