Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair 2012

The HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, with its long and proud history, is the world’s largest event of its kind, celebrating its 27th edition from April 27 to April 30, 2012. The previous fair featured the greatest number of suppliers ever, with more than 4,070 exhibitors from 36 countries and regions. These quality suppliers attracted more than 46,000 high-spending buyers from 134 countries and regions.

Survey Highlights Market Optimism

A survey carried out during the Hong Kong Trade Development Council “mega” fairs in April 2011 confirmed participants as having a positive outlook for market conditions through 2011, with more than 80% thinking business would be the same, better or much better than in the previous year. Among those positive respondents, more than 40% are forecasting double-digit growth in the coming year. Gifts buyers believe that product design with technology and green concepts will make a splash in the market. More than 80% of exhibitors said they would place increased efforts in green manufacturing. The majority of exhibitors will invest more on installing energy-saving equipment in their production lines and improving the green features in their products.
