The Guangzhou's Subway first opened on the year of 1997
and the network has expanded to encompass 4 lines and 61 stations along 116
kilometres (72 Miles). It is very efficient and convenient to the major areas
of Guangzhou City by Metro. Line 1 and Line 2 run through the most area of
Guangzhou city.
It is definitely a fast way to get to both Canton Fair Pazhou Complex and
Liuhua Complex by Metro Line 2 directly, especially during the peak hours. The
Station Name of Canton Fair Pazhou Complex is "Pazhou" (Line 2), the
Station Name of Canton Fair Liuhua Complex is "Yuexiu Park" (Line 2).
The ticket prices range from CNY2.00 to CNY8.00. Passengers could buy the
ticket (like Plastic Coin) through the TVM (Ticket Vending Machine) by using
coins. If you have no Chinese Coins, you may change it in the Service Counter
of each station. Once a coin has been bought you go through the ticket gates by
placing the coin on top of the pad and taking it with you. When leaving a
station you need to insert the coin into the slot, which will then disappear
and the gate will open.
Stations are open from 06:00 to 23:30.
